Expected salary range of $91,800 to $102,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Chemist 2 position is multifold. It involves managing chemistry programs, reviewing data, monitoring performance, communicating with other station departments, maintaining regulatory compliance, writing reports, managing special projects, training personnel, maintaining analytical and radio analytical instrumentation, maintain in-line instrumentation, maintain quality control and participating in the GSEP and duty rotation.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage chemistry programs which entails review and analysis of chemistry data, plant walkdowns, and participation in plant troubleshooting plans.

  • Monitor and maintain chemistry performance parameters, which includes comparison against technical and administrative limits with respect to plant systems performance.

  • Communicate with station management and other station departments with respect to chemistry issues.

  • Manage special projects as required.

  • Participate in the training program such as preparing and or delivering lesson plans associated with chemistry. Observe and participate in classroom training activities.

  • Participate inept and duty rotation. Subject to call out as required in support of station requirements.

  • Participate in Station Oversight Committee(SOC)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 year chemistry or related degree and 2 years as Chemist 1 or directly related experience

  • OR

  • Minimum of 5 years directly applicable experience

  • OR

  • Achieved Chemistry Technician qualification with 5 years Nuclear chemistry experience OR Navy ELT

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical degree
