MYR Group Low Voltage Technician (IBEW Local 68) in Loveland, Colorado
ABOUT THE ROLE
Low Voltage Technicians perform all tasks required for the installation of a complete structured cabling system in a new or existing construction environment in the Denver Metro area including Loveland & Ft. Collins.

Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.
Essential Functions
Perform all tasks required for installation of a complete structured cabling system in a new or existing construction environment. Including but not limited to:
CAT 5e, 6, 6a and fiber optic horizontal cabling
Copper/fiber optic distribution backbone cabling
Pathways/cable support systems
Equipment rack/cabinet installation
Cross-connect blocks
Fireproofing
Cable certification testing
Cable dressing
Able to read and interpret floorplans, drawings, and specifications
Be familiar with network equipment and circuitry, Fiber Optic and Ethernet cabling.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in installation of structured cabling in a commercial environment
Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50-pound box or ladder
Must own low voltage tools, snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches, toner, etc.
Ability to be proactive, dependable, work safely, and perform work quality work
Ability to work days, nights and weekends as project requires
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation
- This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The terms and conditions of the collective bargaining union agreement will apply. Wage is dependent on experience ($23.67 - $33.82 per hour) .
