Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex infrastructure hardware and software problems for multi-user computer platforms. Participates in problem resolution activities and resolves moderately complex technology issues.
Installs and maintains infrastructure hardware and software. Implements standard practices for support and maintenance activities.
Participates in performance monitoring, tuning, availability, security, and capacity planning of multi-user computer platforms.
Provides maintenance, problem resolution and analysis of security exposures and opportunities on multiple platforms, including Windows and Linux operating systems and security tools like anti-virus, monitoring, etc.
Analyzes, documents and reports on internal investigations of possible security violations and implements mitigations.
Develop and maintain patch management processes and procedures to ensure security patches are applied to server operating systems and components.
Perform system hardening processes to implement CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmark controls on server operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Implement and maintain MFA (multi-factor authentication) in order to safeguard administrative privileges on servers, devices, and administrative toolsets.
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure role-based access controls (RBAC).
Participates in the engineering, design, and project management of multi-user computer platforms. Develops and maintains diagrams documenting systems.
Participates in technology evaluation and selection processes, ensuring compatibility between client requirements and technical performance. Documents analysis and recommendations.
Effectively communicates with clients, peers and management by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience.
Develops and maintains relationships with clients, peers, vendors and management.
Works in cooperation with IT Security to ensure we are in compliance with Enterprise Security standards and that the company’s network security is not compromised.
Participates in research on internal projects, recommending solutions that address security issues or concerns. This includes projects related to NERC-CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) implementations.
Supports NERC-CIP compliance and ensures that electronic and physical security policies are followed. When working on NERC-CIP designated systems, adhere to the defined NERC-CIP procedures that includes documenting and evidencing all changes to the infrastructure hardware or software.
Participates in development of satisfactory backup and restore practices as well as disaster recovery planning and testing.
Reviews systems logs and messages to identify and report on possible violations of security policy or breaches of security policy or breaches of security defenses, then takes actions to mitigate.
Participates in establishing processes and procedures that improve efficiency and support compliance with federal and regulatory requirements.
Participates in the reporting of Service Level Agreements and Key Service Indicators to management.
Participates in managing cost and budget forecasting for Capital and Operational and Maintenance activities.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Two or more years’ experience with Desktop and Application Virtualization engineering utilizing Citrix Virtual Apps, Desktops, and Microsoft App-V.
Advanced knowledge in Active Directory Group policies for security and endpoint management.
Advanced knowledge of automation scripting using PowerShell or other languages.
Experience with Windows 10, Office 365, Azure Administration, Intune, or other cloud management.
Experience working with Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
Certifications in Citrix or Microsoft technologies.
Continuing education courses/technical seminars.
Possesses moderate knowledge of various technologies and demonstrates the ability to leverage and appropriately integrate those technologies. Balances technology integration alternatives and recommends action with consideration to both technical efficiency and effectiveness.
A successful academic and work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, achieve desired results in a highly technical, operating environment. Incumbent must effectively deal with the rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of technical support and multi-user computing platform experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis, is required.
