Performs entry level network administration tasks.
Assist in data gathering and template creation for deployment of new voice gateways.
Effectively communicates with clients, peers and management by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, vendors and management.
Works in conjunction with IT Security to ensure that company Network security is not compromised.
Supports NERC-CIP compliance and ensures that electronic and physical security policies are followed.

Perform other duties and special projects as directed and assigned by the manager.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide first class support to our customers for all LKE LOB’s.
Support of the LKE Network Collaboration to include, but not limited to Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection Voicemail, CER (911), Presence, Webex Cloud , Verba recording, Avaya Call Center.
Incident and Planned Work Communication
Troubleshooting and Communication Updates
Enforcing Policy and Procedures/Maintaining Current Documentation
Network Infrastructure Optimization, Automation, Monitoring and Alerting
Voice and Video Traffic Management
Continuous Improvement recommendations and remediation
Primarily sitting, with occasional walking and standing

Required Education & Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in school full-time, pursuing a bachelor’s degree with declared major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related discipline.
Basic knowledge of Networking, network monitoring, scripting and orchestration languages (Python, Ansible or PowerShell is preferred).
Minimum 3.0 GPA.

This intern position is responsible for entry level engineering and/or analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas such as but not limited to voice/data/video network design, engineering, network monitoring, network hardware and associated operating systems, third party products, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance or operations/user support. This position will provide engineering and support services for the Unified Communications Telephony Support. Seeking a college student currently enrolled in school to work up to 20/30+ hours a week with flexibility around school schedule.
