With guidance, interacts with internal clients to understand functional requirements. Coordinates with more experienced personnel to fully outline needed steps to achieve desired results.With guidance, responds to questions from the client regarding current system inputs, processes, and outputs. Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems. Assists in preparing detailed functional specifications from which programs will be written.Assists in the preparation and maintenance of system documentation.Assists in the development of user instructions, training procedures and other support requirements.Designs, implements, tests, and documents changes to simple application configuration nodes. Performs functional testing of system modifications.Effectively communicates with clients, peers and departmental management in business matters inclusive of those with technical content. Blends technical and non-technical perspectives in verbal and written communications, focusing on the underlying business benefit and/or impact of proposed action.Provides input for quality assurance review of the projects assigned.Builds effective relationships with business units to develop a “joint” vision.All other duties and projects as assigned.

Six months experience working in the application to be supported. A successful academic or work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, achieve desired results in a highly technical, operating environment. Ability to effectively deal with the rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm, displaying sound judgment, and utilizing common sense. Training and experience in the use of Project Success Method is preferred.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Incumbent must be competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Under immediate supervision, assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analysts. This is the entry level of the job family.
This position will be filled at the appropriate level based on the candidate's education and experience.
