Job Summary

Black & Veatch’s Specialized Solutions – Information Services team has an exciting opportunity to help develop and grow our enterprise geospatial services sector which includes the entire Esri solution stack, UAV program services, and is tightly associated with our Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Business Intelligence and AI/ML solutions across our market sectors that include Government & Environment, Connectivity & Commercial, and Energy & Process. Will develop marketing approach and oversee implementation to provide geospatial solutions consulting to energy, telecommunications, water, and government agency clients as part of Black & Veatch’s Digital Asset & Lifecycle offering. Successful candidates will be skilled in helping clients creatively solve technology challenges related to managing utility infrastructure and optimizing their digital investments. Past experience in business development for geospatial solutions for utility infrastructure management with direct experience providing services including information technology master planning, GIS system assessment/selection/implementation, on-premise vs. cloud hosting in a municipal or utility environment, Esri Utility Network migration, oriented imagery, and/or enterprise GIS program management.

Position location is flexible but preferred near an existing Black & Veatch Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships and provide ability to actively pursue service offerings to internal market sector leaders

  • Identify and pursue internal and external opportunities related to our service offerings

  • Assist with development of strategic business plans aligned with market sectors to incorporate our service offerings as core business solutions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key client and pursuit opportunity stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key software business partner resources

  • Supports Specialized Solutions opportunities within all market sectors including Government & Environment, Connectivity & Commercial, and Energy & Process Participates in opportunity and pursuit identification, qualification, marketing, and capture in support of department leadership and project management staff.

  • Work with project team to prepare proposals, technical papers, presentations, reports, and implementation plans; define geospatial application strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten years of related work experience and proven experience developing new clients and opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited university; or equivalent job-related work experience.

  • Possess a broad range of information management experience. This includes IT planning, system assessment, selection, ROI definition for cloud hosting vs. on-premise solutions, asset inventory, systems integration, etc.

  • Deep understanding of Esri enterprise GIS program development and

  • Ability to grow and mentor a team (local &/or virtual) and work closely with local and national resources.

  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills required.

  • Experience developing, monitoring, and managing project deliverables, budgets, and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 12 plus years related work experience.
