LG&E and KU Energy Gas Field Coordinator- Transmission in Louisville, Kentucky
Lead field planning, oversight, and execution of integrity assessments including inline inspection, direct examination, and pressure testing.Ensure field operations are performed in accordance with applicable regulatory and Company safety rules. Conduct documented jobsite inspections (safety audits, work quality audits).Plan, coordinate, and oversee excavation activities.Lead field data collection during anomaly investigations to evaluate the integrity of pipelines.Coordinate and oversee non-destructive testing of pipelines.Oversee field execution of pipeline repair.Develop resource estimates for construction projects.Assist in determination of safe operating pressure for repairs.Train, coach and mentor field personnel on findings of audits and inspections.Assist with the development of policies and procedures.Ensure personnel, equipment, and material resources are optimized, through effective planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned jobs.Effectively account for all assigned labor, materials, inventory, equipment, and vehicles in accordance with applicable Company policies. Effectively manage work priorities and risk.Evaluate and discuss employee’s job performance and progress with Group Leader to assist in employee performance review evaluations and development plans.Effectively direct field personnel in the execution of planned, unplanned, and emergency work.Reinforce safety messages, new procedures, new equipment and other information on jobsites.Assist with hands on training sessions.All other duties and projects as assigned
Primarily field work with rigorous walking of pipeline right-or-ways. Frequent climbing in and out of ditches.
Demonstrated proficiency in Company’s mapping and records management applications and associated technologies.Demonstrated proficiency in the construction, maintenance, and operations of gas transmission systems.Demonstrated technical expertise in assigned area.
Primarily field and construction site work. The field work requires frequent walking and climbing. Must be able to contribute in a structured business environment. After hours and weekend work will be necessary during select periods.
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED and five or more years of experience in gas transmission pipeline construction and maintenance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skill proficiency is required.Valid driver’s license
