Position Purpose This position is responsible for assisting in the development and administration of various types of LG&E and KU agreements and contracts for third party attachments made on or in LG&E and KU facilities, including agreements with entities such as Cable Television providers, Communications providers, state, city and municipal governments, and private parties. Responsibilities include assisting with contract development, negotiation, administration, retention and interpretation, invoicing and payment processing, summary and financial reporting and maintaining accurate records and data associated with third party equipment and cables attached to utility facilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business or other related field. Associates Degree and an equivalent combination of education work experience may be considered in lieu of a BS degree.
Position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others.
Must possess or demonstrate the ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of electric system design, construction and work practices, the National Electrical Safety Code and company safety policies.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledgeable of MS Office and proficient with the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum.
Plans and controls all activities so as to provide an accident free work place.
Possess valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the electric utility business, National Electrical Safety Code and ORACLE invoicing systems, and SharePoint preferred.
1-2 years of experience in electrical design, 3rd party pole attachment administration, or contract administration preferred.
Job Description Assists others, including internal and/or external Legal resources in the development, negotiation, interpretation and administration of third party attachment agreements.
Provides routine support for administering the terms and conditions of existing third party contracts working with internal and external customers as necessary, including ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Safety Code and utility safety policies.
Develops summary and financial reports including attachment counts, attachment fees, revenues and expenses associated with Third Party Attachments.
Assists in reviewing or research complex legal documents and contracts to identify and document key information needed for managing and administering existing agreements.
Makes recommendations for improvements in processes, methods, and procedures for administering contracts, records management, invoice and payment processing and financial reporting associated with PSC collocations and attachments.
Assist the Project Manager in working with LG&E/KU operations to develop and implement pole attachment management processes and ensure those processes are followed.
Processes invoices and payments and reconciles discrepancies in fees for third party attachments.
Facilitates the tracking of CATV, Joint Use, Telecommunications and Miscellaneous attachments including attachment counts, summary reporting and invoicing and reconciliation of attachment fees in association with established tariffs and contracts.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
Work Conditions Primarily office work with some standing, walking, driving and climbing stairs with occasional field work.
Physical Effort Primarily sitting with some standing and walking.
