To do this effectively, we need to monitor, maintain and manage.

You will be part of the Clean Energy Digital Analytics Team, reporting to the Digital Analytics Manager, and your primary focus will be supporting the AES Clean Energy Business through organizing and enabling their data needs. As one of our Data Steward you will ensure data integrity and accuracy to enable teams to deliver business goals. You will partner with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and Leadership to ensure proper data usage, dashboard development, evolution and maintenance of existing and new business processes, and adherence to best practices. Partnering with the data engineering and data architect team to bring data to Clean Energy while also bring back feedback for improvements and driving timely development of data pipelines is part of your daily work. A willingness to have fun and learn new technologies that can help improve the current system is key.

Main activities:

  • Work with business to identify and catalog data needs

  • Coordinate quality, security and maintenance of all business relevant data

  • Define data harmonization guidelines and work with business teams to enforce data quality

  • Drive modernization efforts for data services and strategy and help to research, investigate, and remediate data quality cases

  • Translation of business requirements and business operation practices into the existing technology data framework

  • Lead Cultural change for data management and governance functions by implementing enterprise strategies, policies, and standards within their respective domains.

  • Leverage Agile, CI/CD and DevOps methodologies to deliver high quality products on-time

Skills:

  • Detail oriented – almost to a fault.

  • Ask questions and love to learn.

  • You have experience building high-capacity front end systems using cloud native technologies and other JS enabled tools (Google Cloud preferred).

  • Love to tinker and understand the “why”.

  • You have the ability to deal with ambiguity and the flexibility to change direction as additional information becomes available.

  • Understand the value and purpose of good data and how it impacts the performance of the business.

  • Domain expertise in function and terminology

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in in computer science, software engineering or a closely related field.

  • Experience working in team environments.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $95.000 and $123.250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
