Job Summary/Purpose

Lead, in collaboration with project management team members, the transition of transmission Operations to the future state operations with Maximo and Click. This release is scheduled for deployment in Q4 of 2021 with ongoing support expected through Q1 2022.

The role will then transition to support Distribution Operations to support the Distribution Plan. This role will lead, in collaboration with PM&C and Distribution Operation, the transition and continuous improvement of new processes as a part of the Distribution Plan such as the new Distribution Project Delivery standards. This also includes support of new programs such as the Feeder Level Investment Plan.

This role will be accountable and responsible for providing leadership, consultation and assistance in the assessment, development, and implementation of processes that affect utility operations and transmission for both technology, large project management processes, and operations.

Evaluate alternatives for future state business processes, gain organizational input, report benefits and risks of alternative processes, facilitates resolution of conflicting perspectives and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure adequate input and alignment across both T&D organizations.

Responsible for developing and using change tools and processes, defining relevant metrics, tracking performance, and managing overall progress and milestones.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Lead, in collaboration with project management team members, the transition of transmission operations to the future state operations with Maximo and Click.

Lead, in collaboration with PM&C and Distribution Operation, the transition of new processes such as the new Distribution Project Delivery standards as a part of the Distribution Plan.

Provide technical and business support to the overall deployment of continuous process improvement

initiatives to support both transmission and distribution.

Collaborate with utility operations leadership and sustainment teams to develop an overall operational improvement strategy and identify opportunities for improvement including the transition to new Grid Technologies operating models and continuous improvement opportunities.

Define, develop, and track key metrics that ensure that improvements result in a positive impact for employees with changes to processes and technology. Examples include but not limited to training, readiness surveys, and adherence to change plans.

Oversee the documentation processes for the end-to-end process design for transition for any required change to process or technology. Lead both internal and external parties to develop and implement change plans and training as well as develop strategies for sustainability including plans to transition from development to operations.

Oversee initiatives to optimize end-to-end processes within utility operations. Responsible for developing and using change tools and processes, defining relevant metrics, tracking performance, and managing overall progress and milestones.

Leads the effort to win the support of employees and gain organizational alignment and buy in through effective change management planning and communication planning. Identifying change leaders in utility operations and transmission.

Define the project team engagement model. Form initiative teams, agree on team charters, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and other expectations. Coordinate and support project teams across key initiatives including: End-to-end process design and implementation, transition plans for both technology deployments and new business processes.

Eliminate roadblocks, escalate issues, risks and executive decisions needed. Elevate deviations from business process designs and new business processes. Manage cross-work stream issues that do not have clear owners.

Provide frequent, clear information on the program and its status to all stakeholders (executive, workstreams, customers, broader organization). Define overall timeline, key milestones, major meeting dates, and project-wide deadlines. This includes preparing and presenting relevant change and business readiness topics at steering committees, staff meetings, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of degree - 8 years of experience leading change management for large-scale projects and large corporate initiatives/projects, experience that demonstrates strategic thinking, relationship management, recruiting, developing, coaching, and monitoring employees. Experience cross functional projects, mentoring, and leading teams.

Minimum experience required of the position

7+ years of experience leading change management for large-scale projects and large corporate initiatives/projects, experience that demonstrates strategic thinking, relationship management, recruiting, developing, coaching, and monitoring employees. Experience cross functional projects, mentoring, and leading teams.

Preferred: 5-7+ years of experience in distribution and transmission operations.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Ability to cross-functionally integrate process approaches and operational considerations into sound business decision making. Experience with process optimization. Proven leadership in leading cross functional teams.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. Understanding of the industry and industry best practices for both operations and change management. Strong collaboration and relationship management knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and creative problem-solving skills. Significant project management and change management experience. Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement. Well-grounded in all aspects of technology and T&D operations.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

Desired: Certification for Change Management - CCMP
