Seeking candidates to join our national team of Quality professionals as a QA/QC Auditor. The successful candidate can expect to spend most of her/his time rotating among job sites conducting technical, detailed assessments of workers’ performance and job site conditions. Additionally, the QA/QC Auditor can anticipate assisting with safety and OQ activities (as demand requires). Experience and qualifications should provide a solid basis for conducting thorough, technical field audits. This role is important to the company’s regulatory compliance efforts and its commitment to Core Values and customer service.
The successful candidate will work well with a degree of autonomy and have at least three (3) years of hands-on experience working on natural gas facilities, either from a position with a gas operator (pipeline or public utility) or with a contractor. Candidates should be proficient with, or demonstrate the ability to learn to use common field auditing services and technology (such as iAuditor).

What is Required?
3+ years in the pipeline industry or natural gas distribution industry
Demonstrated hands-on experience working on natural gas transmission or distribution facilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think critically and collaborate with multiple stakeholders (external and internal)
Ability to identify and record proper and improper practices on a natural gas job site per audit metrics
Basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Office programs
Prior or current work experience involving U.S. Department of Transportation pipeline safety regulations (including 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195)
Prior or current work experience as a crew member or leader in a construction or maintenance function with a natural gas pipeline, natural gas public utility, or a contractor
Prior or current work experience involving state-level pipeline safety regulations and enforcement
Familiarity with quality assurance audits in the natural gas and public utility industry
Experience with auditing software, processes, and protocols as applied to the energy industry
Previous or current certification to be an OQ evaluator
Experience demonstrating strong analytical skills and critical thinking, with the proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical and employee issues/problems
Proven communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate
Conduct that reflects the importance of record keeping practices
Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Prior or current work experience demonstrating the ability to work among a team, take direction from a supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules and adhere to work scheduled
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work (daily, weekly, monthly)
Work experience demonstrating candidate is self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal direct supervision
Work experience showing candidate’s ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict and sometimes short deadlines
Most audits will be performed in field locations in varying environmental and weather conditions; record keeping, report preparation and similar functions will be performed in an office environment
Regular travel to and among job sites and shop locations in the Virginia region will be required; potential for overnight travel is possible. On limited occasion, domestic travel may be required if assisting other InfraSource operating areas in the U.S
