Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings
Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and processes Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Outline Agreements for Procurement of technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software or components. Supports Investment Recovery Salvage, Sales and Supplier strategies. Work with Buy America Program Manager to monitor and manage federally funded projects that are administered by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). This role involves strategic and cross-functional involvement to ensure compliance with Buy America laws and to meet the evolving needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for conducting Request for Proposals (RFPs) and issuing Purchase Orders and Contracts for Direct Materials.
Responsible for negotiating contractual terms and other related commercial items to ensure Edison receives the best value possible while mitigating potential risk factors.
Responsible for the timely coordination and resolution of field disagreements and potential disputes in collaboration with Organizational Unit representatives to assure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements and the business unit’s expectations.
Records and processes Investment Recovery settlements and sales.
Supports Investment Recovery Salvage, Sales, and Supplier strategy.
Works collaboratively with project managers from Transmission Project Delivery, as well as external agencies, to ensure Buy America projects are fully compliant with the FHWA/FTA/FRA laws and regulations.
Responsible to obtain and retain all Buy America documents, including but not limited to material certificate of compliance from suppliers, utility agreements, and material lists.
Responsible for the maintenance of Buy America materials in SAP and Master Agreements (MAs).
Prepare and conduct Buy America pre/post construction meetings and project client meetings.
Support utility agreement negotiations to ensure the utility agreement has relevant Buy America clauses.
Conduct Buy America training and outreach.
Five (5) or more years of experience in procurement, negotiating supply chain contracts, and establishing vendor relationships
Two (2) or more years of experience developing and executing procurement agreements of> $10M annually
Bachelor Degree in Supply Management, Business or Technical Discipline or related major.
CPM, CPSM, APICS, Six Sigma, and/or CMIR
SAP or other ERP experience
Experience with Investment Recovery Programs
Experience with federally funded programs
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
The primary work location for this position is (Long Beach); however, the successful candidate will be asked to work for an extended amount of time, mainly traveling to other SCE sites.
Position will require up to 75% traveling and being out in the field to SCE sites, including: (Rosemead, Pomona, and Westminster).
