In this job, you will provide administrative support to the Local Planning Department which is responsible for the planning of new business construction and maintenance within SCE’s Transmission and Distribution organization. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Directs internal and external customer correspondences to appropriate person/department (e.g. billing, logistics, offline support, etc.) including handling confidential and sensitive telephone calls, files, documents, and reports.

  • Calendars meetings, schedules and coordinates meetings, conference calls, prepares agendas, and discussion materials.

  • Generates and process research reports, meter order backlog, inactive lists, pending cancellations, and various other reports.

  • Files electronic and paper documents, including processing invoices, contracts, supply orders, purchase requests, ledgers, and expense reports.

  • Inputs/updates online Service Request using DM (Design Manager) (e.g. contact information, billing information, type of Service Request, time frames, project details).

  • Receives and reviews customer payments and contracts for accuracy and completeness including updating customer orders online when receiving and processing money.

  • Performs work order package breakdown into necessary post-planning packages, gather information for Planner field visit and design of project, and ensure completeness of work orders and/or resolve work order problems.

  • Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


The essentials

  • Three or more years of experience performing thorough administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Processing purchase request, contracts, and invoices.

  • Tracking, processing, and submitting supplies and/or repair/maintenance orders, including filing electronic and paper documents.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Excel to create and edit reports, graphs, schedules, matrices and convert information from one format to another.

  • Calendaring meetings, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and conference calls.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including editing proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
