As our Quality Control Specialist I or II, y ou will:
Play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with internal security controls and standards. They are responsible for assisting in the development, evaluation, and implementation of processes, procedures, and practices that support compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards, SOC-1 Control Objectives, and SPP governing documents.
Additionally, you will be focused on assisting with selection, configuration and implementation of the GRC related tool(s) that best fit SPP’s needs. Your daily duties will likely include risk assessment and analysis, evaluation of current controls against controls framework, control implementation and maintenance, supporting compliance and auditing, training and awareness, documentation, and research.
To be successful as the Quality Control Specialist I or II, we're looking for:
Bachelor degree in computer science, business administration, or related field, or equivalent technical work experience
Quality Control Specialist I: No experience
Quality Control Specialist II: Three (3) years of combined experience related to IT or Business Process Improvement
Understanding of risk-based security control frameworks, including but not limited to NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Top 20, or similar models
Communication skills and ability to deal on a regular basis with stakeholders as well as with regulators
The exercise of independent judgment without fear of reprisal
Extensive contact and work with departments throughout the organization, as well as with members, auditors, and regulators of the company
A wide range of skills including: oral and written communications; testing; project management; and strong inter-personal skills
Flexibility and the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
Excellent organizational skills
General understanding of industry compliance requirements
Understanding of, compliance with, and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with internal audit controls and/or NERC CIP Standards
Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools/platforms
CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIA, CICA, CGAP, or related certifications
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.
Travel Requirement:
- This position requires minimal travel ( up-to 10%)
