This position is responsible for leading the early-stage (Stage 1 & 2) project development in an assigned operating territory or region.
Acts as the liaison between internal engineering groups, external stakeholders, and company leadership regarding project scopes that affect customers.
Leads a team responsible for developing cost estimates and completing early-stage project approvals in Entergy’s Stage Gate Approval process.
Delivery of the project execution plan document to support decisions in stage 3/funding.
Distribution: Leading system wide team responsible for scope definition including field visits. Projects vary from reliability, planning, and resiliency.
Maintain and continue to develop cost estimating tools for Distribution. Includes ability to extract information from Maximo and coordinate with IT to update estimating tools.
Identifies and tracks project risks and communicates to leadership as well as project management, engineering, and construction teams.
Recognizes opportunities to streamline capital investment between transmission and distribution projects.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction-related field or equivalent work experience.
Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
- 7 years utility experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
High degree of analytical skill and ability to quickly understand the impacts of business decisions. Understanding of cost recovery and financial differences between categories of capital investment. Strong communication and conflict management skills. Extensive experience with T&D operations including the construction and reliable operation of T&D facilities.
