Starting Pay Range
$77,035.00 - $96,294.00
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Job Technical Skills – This position is responsible for strategic design and implementation of in-house information security systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability and integrity.
Exploration and integration of new cyber security tools, processes, capabilities, and architecture.
Tuning and development of security information and event monitoring systems use cases and other security control configurations.
Defend systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction.
Monitors, detects, and diagnoses security incidents, intrusions, and vulnerability issues.
Initiates threat hunting investigations as a part of LES’ proactive cybersecurity strategy.
Conducts investigations into problematic activity and provides on-going communication with senior management.
Incident response activities.
Critical and Analytical Thinking – Seeking a candidate who critically reviews, analyzes, compares, and interprets information. Draws conclusions from relevant and/or missing information. Tests possible hypotheses to ensure the problem is correctly diagnosed and the best solution is found.

Makes effective decisions even when faced with time pressure or uncertain conditions. Recognizes when input from others is needed to make effective decisions. Prioritizing – This position requires an individual who appropriately weighs the importance of different criteria for prioritizing work, e.g. customer requirements, supervisor input, etc. Calculates or estimates business impact to determine what work must be completed and when. Balances tasks so that work on a range of priority levels gets completed, not just tasks deemed “high priority”. When leading others, ensures staff understands priorities and their role in completing each project from project beginning to end.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Network Administration technical degree in related field, and
Four years of progressively responsible cyber security or related experience in area of assignment, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Bachelor degree preferred.
