Job Description

Assisting I&C Engineers with major protective relay upgrades and power equipment upgrades.Developing documentation for new and existing communication systems in and around the Niagara Power Project. Assisting in managing and documenting the network expansion for ISOC communication networks. Engineering & Develop solutions to various minor trouble items that fall into I&C's scope.

Required Skills

Technical (including computer applications):

  • Windows OS, Office programs (Word, Excel, and Access)

  • Electrical Blueprint reading

  • Electrical Circuits

  • Communications/network terminology

Soft’ Skills (behavioral characteristics):

• Able to work alone with little direction. • Work with other departments.• Work within an established procedural guideline• Able to work in a Union Environment

• Electrical / I&C Engineering• Electrical Blueprints• Operations• Meter Engineering

Required Experience

It is preferred that the students be entering their 3rd year of college with a minimum 3.0 GPA for participation in this program.
