Purpose

Oversight of construction completed by contracted crews. This position has responsibility for ensuring the appropriate scope, scale & project expectations are met. This position has responsibility for contracted crews following all of Liberty's safe work practices. This position has the ability to take clearance and control for all work that it oversees. This position has reporting responsibility to the Operations Manager of each area and ensuring that each project meets its objected scope, scale, timeline and budget.

Accountabilities

  • Ensures Construction and team members are compliant with all Liberty company Safety policy and standards.

  • Inspects contractor jobsites to verify and ensure compliance with Company specifications for electric distribution system installations.

  • Ensures construction consistency with plans, specifications and schedules, including scheduling contractor crews.

  • Tracks and provides updates on project costs.

  • Forecasts on Project Costs & provides periodic updates to leadership

  • Creates in field as-built drawings and verifies GIS information

  • Orders, receives, inventories and disburses materials associated with assigned projects

  • Performs rotational on call duty.

  • Emergency Response assignments as required

Education and Experience

  • College degree or professional program of 3 years or less

  • 5-10 years of applicable experience

  • Advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents

  • Experience in Utility Construction Preferred.

  • Journeyman Lineworker experience or relevant experience required.
