Neuco is seeking a Mechanic to join our team! Mechanics perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on cars, trucks, off-road equipment, and small tools in a safe, efficient, quality-minded, and customer-focused manner.
What You'll Do
Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions, and emergency roadside repair
Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications including engines, transmissions and clutches, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition (gas and diesel), electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC systems
Follow paper-flow procedures including documenting correct mileage/hours, maintaining all warranty and core parts, documenting repairs, and follow parts ordering and billing procedures
Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit
Perform DOT inspections
Perform maintenance and repair welding on equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality manner
Other duties as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years’ work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of cars, trucks, off-road equipment, heavy equipment, and small tools
• Valid Class A or B CDL license for interstate travel
• General knowledge of construction related equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication; detailed-orientated
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus
• General competency in computer systems
• Commitment to working safely

Work Environment
Work sites are indoors and outdoors. Outdoors worksite can potentially be in extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination
Must be available to travel between MA/ME/NH as necessary
Legal Stuff

Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
