MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Inspect extinguishers to ensure they meet all safety standards within the jurisdiction of the state. Ensure tag is not expired and unit is in proper working order (pins have been not been pulled, no physical damage exists, no repair or replacement needed).

  2. Schedule service of units needing repair with service technicians.

  3. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational and experience requirements include: A general working knowledge of standards associated with fire extinguishing systems, or the ability to learn through on-the-job training. Able to recognize deficiencies associated with fire extinguishing systems and schedule service to bring them up to standards.

Key Skills and Competencies

Competent computer skills in the use of technology, including IPAD. Strong customer relations skills. Ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license and vehicle capable of transporting extinguishers.
