As a member of the Real Estate team, this individual is responsible for obtaining the land rights necessary for construction, operation and maintenance of electric and natural gas utility assets. Serves as a single point of contact between the Right of Way team and CEM personnel within their assigned areas of responsibility. Analyzes existing land rights and determines the rights necessary for the successful completion of distribution projects.
Negotiate with private landowners for the acquisition of various land rights for construction, operation and maintenance of existing and new facilities, including but not limited to, easements, temporary workspace agreements
Research, analysis and interpretation of existing real estate documents found within the company’s document management system
Communicate with internal customers as to the scope and dynamics of the existing land rights.
Review easements and exhibit drawings prepared by Document Specialists
Effectively direct and manage a limited number contract resources
Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field of study. Less than a Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.

General technical analysis supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, negotiations, transactions, customer services and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the company. Duties and who this individual reports to will fluctuate between projects, departments and offices. Lead and/or assist with technical support for the plans, reports, impacts, contracts, schedules, estimates, data collection, observation, and field investigation. Provide technical, non-engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted applications software and equipment to prepare technical support documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard procedures for projects. Become familiar with business and technical plans and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication. Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. Public involvement may include producing reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual material as well as occasional speaking or meeting with stakeholders. Attend internal and external meetings. Provide technical support services in a legal and ethical manner.
The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education experience.
Hours and Travel:
This position requires the individual work upward of 50 hours per week with 60% of time spent in the office or specific field locations.
