Overview

Responsible for a wide variety of confidential, administrative or staff support services, including supervision of administrative and support personnel. Provides direct supervision for up to fifteen employees. Supports business operations through the collection, organization and analysis of data relating to regional performance. Works with business stakeholders to use this data in the identification of opportunities for improvement across all regional processes. Provides support in the implementation and interpretation of policies and procedures. The successful candidate will report to PPL's Lancaster Service Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision, direction and reviews the work of assigned staff including responsibility for employee development and performance evaluations. Plans day-to-day departmental operations. Develops and implements work methods, authorizes overtime, and controls costs.

  • With support of stakeholders, extract and deliver useful statistics and insight from business data to drive and support operational improvements and business strategies.

  • Support regional leadership in the identification and implementation of solutions and/or strategies to drive both short- and long-term improvements to business objectives

  • Review, identify, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business process and supporting systems. • May be responsible for administering specific programs, projects or processes of an administrative or general nature, including providing interpretations or enforcement of applicable policies and procedures.

  • May be responsible for the preparation and control of records, statistics and reports regarding personnel and other administrative activities and routine operational activities, including assistance with budget preparation and control activities.

  • May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations.

  • May lead or participate in special projects or teams.

  • May be responsible for conducting or coordinating routine administrative or informational training sessions or meetings.

  • If applicable, in-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.

  • The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

  • May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with three years analytical/problem solving experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis

  • Strong analytical, research adn complex problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Access and Powerpoint) or other advanced statistical computer applications

  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed with attention to detail

  • Easily adapts to changing circumstances

  • Able to understand business goals and strategic priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience

  • High degree of integrity, initiative, professionalism, positive attitude, personal discipline, and respect for maintaining confidential information

  • Abilty to interface with all levels of management, employees and external customers, and work with confidential information with appropriate sensitivity and discretion

  • Ability to prioritize work, coordinate multiple projects, keep accurate records, work in a fast paced environment and work with minimal supervision

  • Experience supporting fast-changing business organizations
