Admin Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Provides supervision, direction and reviews the work of assigned staff including responsibility for employee development and performance evaluations. Plans day-to-day departmental operations. Develops and implements work methods, authorizes overtime, and controls costs.

  2. May be responsible for administering specific programs, projects or processes of an administrative or general nature, including providing interpretations or enforcement of applicable policies and procedures.

  3. May be responsible for the preparation and control of records, statistics and reports regarding personnel and other administrative activities and routine operational activities, including assistance with budget preparation and control activities.

  4. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations.

  5. May be responsible for conducting or coordinating routine administrative or informational training sessions or meetings.

Position Summary:

Responsible for a wide variety of confidential, administrative or staff support services, including supervision of administrative and support personnel. Provides direct supervision for up to fifteen employees.

Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree in business or other related discipline.

  2. High degree of integrity, initiative, professionalism, positive attitude, personal discipline, and respect for maintaining confidential information.

  3. Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and the Internet).

  4. Ability to interface with all levels of management, employees and external customers, and work with confidential information with appropriate sensitivity and discretion.

  5. Ability to prioritize work, coordinate multiple projects, keep accurate records, work in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision.

  6. Experience with timekeeping for an hourly workforce required.

  7. Ability to ensure cross functionality and proficiency of various skills for all administrative group team members

  2. Experience managing Bargaining Unit employees is desirable.

  3. 2-3 years of Supervisory experience

  4. Experience in identifying trends and improving process efficiencies is desirable.

  5. Involved and/or lead team safety incident investigations and associated documentation
