South Central Power Company Project Manager in Lancaster, Ohio
South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Project Manager at our Lancaster office.
Responsibilities include leading project management efforts throughout SCP. This position will coordinate internal departmental projects within a team environment including initiation, planning, executing and monitoring projects efficiently. The position will assist in the analysis of data, justification, and development of proposals for sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. The position will act as the facilitator for process improvement teams and will be responsible for analyzing and documenting the resulting processes. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders including internal and external customers, contractors and industry peers.
We are looking for an individual with leadership experience, strong communication skills with and demonstrated knowledge in project management and continuous improvement. Candidates must be highly self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required with a focus on rapport-building and listening. Candidates must also be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner as well as be experienced working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and have the ability to train others.
This position will report to the CFO and work out of the Lancaster office.
Qualifications
• A bachelor degree in business or related field is required.
• Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience in project management and process administration with a broad knowledge of the electric utility industry.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize multiple systems/products fluently.
• Regular contacts with colleagues within and outside the department to provide and interpret project information. Must have or be able to develop professional contacts with affiliated companies and customers.
• A working knowledge of the cooperative model is preferred.
