PAY RANGE: $93,300 - $116,600

Scheduled Work Hours:

7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs, coordinates, and manages both day-to-day and long-term administration of the Northwest Region Electric Trouble Department.

Responsible for managing operations in a safe, cost-effective manner while maintaining quality customer service.

Provides direction, coordination, and oversees the duties and responsibilities of the Electric Distribution Supervisors that manage the Trouble Departments. This group is responsible for operating the Electric Distribution System (troubleshooting) and completing service orders including new meter sets, service upgrades, maintenance, streetlight repairs, meter changes, non-pay shut off’s, turn-ons, turn-offs, removal of service, etc.

Directs scheduling of work and personnel to assure optimal use of resources in a safe and efficient manner.

Manages storm restoration efforts within the Division during emergency conditions to minimize outages and customer minutes.

Responsible for ensuring all service related and reporting obligations are met for the various franchise agreements and service regulations.

Responsible and accountable for employee conduct.

Ensures all employees meet OSHA and DOT requirements.

Enforces safety rules, Line Construction Standards, Service Standards, Code compliance, and company policies and procedures.

Responsible for employee conflict resolution and corrective action.

Responsible for a large geographical area and requires travel and extremely long hours during storm restorations. Rotates emergency on-call duty with Division management.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Ten years of experience in field operations or related field required. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Must have working knowledge of the Electric Distribution System both overhead and underground in construction, design, repair and maintenance, and troubleshooting. Must have thorough knowledge of the Customer Service System, Work Management Information System, Dispatch Workstation, Scheduling system, ArcMap, Maximo Microsoft Office, Distribution Database, etc.

Must have thorough knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code, National Electric Code, Service Standards, Service Regulations, Line Construction Standards, network systems, and OSHA requirements, along with federal, state, county, and city regulations. Union contracts, state and federal regulations pertaining to EEOC, ADA, HR Policies, and other employee driven regulations experience preferred.

Prefer knowledge of System Operating Procedures and Safety Rules, Operations Procedures Manual, Time Sheet Coding, Terms and Conditions Manual, Material Standards, Storm Manual, Terms and Agreements for outside contractors, Tool Standards, and AFS Manual.

Must have good computer skills, communication skills, decisive decision-making abilities, people skills and project management skills.

Licenses, Certification, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:
The work is performed inside and outside, in all weather and working conditions.

Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
