Job Summary and Description:
Provides technical assistance and advice to Engineers, Project Managers and Program Managers with minimal supervision. Provides data and analysis and develops systems that impact R&D results and improves internal efficiencies in key areas. Functions as a senior technical advisor to various technical personnel in the area of laboratory analysis and testing. Has considerable freedom in planning work and carrying out assignments. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Performs engineering or scientific services that may include but are not limited to the following (in compliance with current industry and Government practices):
Tests and evaluation
Technology planning
Systems architecture development
Requirements development
Concept development
Systems design, development and integration
Systems operation and construction
Integrated logistics support
Modeling and simulation
Education:
- Certification and/or Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
5-7 years prior experience as a technician in at least one of the primary engineering or scientific disciplines.
Must be able to set up, assemble, install or build components of experimental apparatus or equipment.
Expertise in an area and significant experience and training related to using specific tools, techniques and processes.
The Ideal candidate will have or be:
ISO accredited lab experience
Attention to detail
Procedure driven
Low/medium voltage experience
Electrical/mechanical experience
Computer software/hardware experience
PLC (programmable logic controller) knowledge
Hands-on experience in power electronic testing or product certification
Strong knowledge of AC/DC power conversion
Experience using power analyzers, oscilloscopes, and load banks
LabVIEW/MATLAB/Python experience
The salary range for this position is $68,000 USD to $72,000 USD annually.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).
