The Permit Coordinator is responsible for executing the permit process to include applying, paying, and picking up permits required for each project. Permits can vary from municipality to municipality, so the Permit Coordinator must organize each municipality requirement to ensure each project is compliant. This position supports the Construction and Project teams and works with personnel within those departments.
Research and understand municipality permit requirements.
Apply for correct permits needed for each project.
Pay and collect permits as they are ready.
Ensure compliance in each location for each project.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
1 year of experience.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to handle difficult customers and develop relationships with varied personalities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
Ability to read prints and complete permit applications.
Ability to navigate Excel documents
Some college, including credit hours in Business Administration or a similar field of study.
Prior construction project permitting or municipal liaison experience.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
