Complete the PTO qualification standard and perform all duties of a PTO. Complete the SPTO qualification standard and demonstrate understanding of all systems and processes. The Senior Plant Technician Operator (SPTO) performs primarily as the senior operator of all power generation equipment at Klamath Cogeneration Plant and Klamath Generation Peakers. The SPTO ensures that all equipment is properly operated in a safe manner and in compliance with all permits, rules, and regulations. The SPTO is expected to cross train in basic mechanical and electrical maintenance, and contribute to a variety of maintenance activities commensurate with their skills and qualifications. The SPTO role is at times an individual contributor, a team member, and often times a group leader. As with all PKE employees, the SPTO should continuously strive to better themselves as well as the team. Essential Responsibilities include:
