The Senior Manager of Natural Gas Tax Accounting will lead a team of analysts to serve as the tax & regulatory function over the natural gas business to include UGI Utilities and Energy Services.

Job Responsibilities :

Strategic oversight of the tax function at the natural gas business, including but not limited to:

Strategic tax forecasting Developing strategies to optimize the federal effective tax rate at the natural gas businesses

Optimization of state income tax at UGI Energy Services

Collaboration with the capital planning department to optimize bonus tax depreciation

Lead the close the books process for income taxes across the natural gas businesses (monthly/quarterly/annually), including providing direction and review on all reporting, reconciliation, and analysis.

Build and develop an ongoing day-to-day tax function at UGI Utilities and UGI Energy Service by hiring, training, and development of new staff.

Serve as the tax witness on the UGI Rate case with overall ownership of the tax claim in rate case proceedings.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting required; Masters in Accounting or Taxation preferred

Minimum of 10 years of experience preferably in corporate tax and/or general accounting in positions of increasing responsibility

Specialized knowledge of income tax accounting, reporting and planning

Specialized knowledge of regulatory accounting (ASC 980), FERC, and PUC accounting and reporting, and generally accepted accounting principles

Strong critical thinking, analytical, written and communication skills

Ability to develop and lead a team of employees across business units

Ability to work independently and lead projects across disciplines and business units to mitigate risks

Ability to create and implement new processes across business units to enhance business performance
