Lead Project Manager - Technical Services Group - BWSR Project in Niskayuna, New York

This is a senior level management position reporting directly to the Senior Manager at a government owned-contractor managed or operated site, project or facility in which BWXT Technical Services Group (“BWXT TSG”) and/or its affiliated company (“Affiliate”) holds the government contract or a sub-tier contract placed under that contract.


This position is responsible to lead effective implementation of the Earned Value Management System for BWSR which performs decontamination and decommissioning services under a multiple year contract.

Specific duties include, but are not limited:

  • This position is responsible for the effective management, including detailed planning and execution of complex, multi-year projects through identification and completion of critical path and parallel work activities to achieve optimum performance.

  • This position is responsible for software systems implementation and data administration for enterprise scheduling, resources, and earned value management tool sets.

    Job Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in relevant degree (Engineering, Science, Business) with a minimum of 12 years continuous experience as a Project Manager.

  • A minimum of 5 years management/supervisory experience on large, complex projects involving radioactive and/or hazardous waste generation and disposal.

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional is preferred.

  • Must be a US citizen – no dual citizenship.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" clearance – a current clearance is preferred.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain radiological dosimetry in the Naval Reactors Program.
