MDU Resources Group Administrative Assistant - Business Services in Kennewick, Washington
Description
Seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and analytical skills to provide administrative support to Facilities and Administration, Procurement, Fleet, Business Services, and other internal departments of MDU Resources Group. Under direct and indirect supervision, this position is responsible for a diverse list of clerical and administrative activities to support multiple departments, both locally and remotely. This position reports to the Manager of Facilities & Administrative Services but works with several departments. All MDU Resources employees are responsible for placing safety as the #1 priority in their day-to-day work routine for themselves and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a working knowledge of office, inventory and cost accounting procedures and Microsoft Office software at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree in a business or office related discipline or equivalent; and
Three years’ experience providing administrative support.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
This position is located in Kennewick, WA.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
May require occasional travel to company facilities.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced with JD Edwards/PeopleSoft ERP applications.
Familiar with facilities management and the Utility industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
First point of contact for the facilities at the CNG Kennewick GO. Facility activities including monitoring grounds maintenance and building cleanliness. Local point of contact for service calls and inspections for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, equipment, testing of systems, snow removal, building access, etc.
Receives incoming mail and freight, conducts daily mail distribution, assists GO personnel with mail, and package mailing.
Assists with local records management.
Performs support tasks as needed, such as ordering office supplies, for the office building.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Offers typically made between $17.27 and $25.90 hourly
