Pipefitter / Fuser
We are looking to fill a Pipefitter position on our field crew in Kansas City, MO . The fitter plays a vital role in constructing, installing, and maintaining piping systems for natural gas utilities. Come apply your expertise with fusion equipment and pipefitting procedures and gain valuable industry experience. You'll have the opportunity to work outdoors, collaborating with a team to safely complete underground utility construction projects.

Essential Duties:
Construct, install, and maintain piping systems for natural gas utilities
Join piping by means of fusion, electrofusion or mechanical coupled joints
Thread pipe by using a threading machine or hand threader
Inspect and test piping system for leaks
Provide labor and equipment operation as needed to support specialty crew
Perform generalmaintenance of construction equipment and vehicles
Load and unload equipment and materials
Operate a variety of hand and power tools
Maintain the equipment used in day-to-day operations.
Preparation of construction site; digging trenches and setting support braces in trenches
Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation
Must ensure the proper use of personal safety equipment
Keep worksite clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards
Take on construction tasks in various weather conditions, ensuring every project is completed safely and efficiently
Perform miscellaneous duties assigned
Key Qualifications
DOT OQ Gas Pipeline-qualified preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of job-related experience or military equivalent
Valid driver's license
DOT Medical Card (if driving a company vehicle)
Physical Requirements:
This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand or walk for long periods
Repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Ability to work in loud environments
Ability to work in extreme cold and warm outdoor temperatures
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
