Summary
Spire is seeking a Manager, Service in the Kansas City, operation. This position will oversee the daily direction, guidance, development, management and oversight of the Service Department within a specific region.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direction and accountability, implementing the department’s business plans
Resolve grievances and negotiate contractual issues
Assure all employees work safely to minimize or eliminate injuries
Initiate, plan, and coordinate training programs for service personnel
Function as a liaison with municipal organizations, first responders, realtor organizations, and code enforcement officials
Evaluate the region’s work load efficiency, track employee’s productivity and oversee efforts to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
Administer salaries, annual performance development reviews and review and approve various documents, requisitions, reports and invoices etc.
Direct employees in field operations during emergency situations
All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
High school diploma/GED
Valid Missouri Driver’s license
College Degree preferred
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
Ability to lead by example in support of the Company’s essential characteristics and values
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people
Ability to work independently and as a team, positive attitude and manage time effectively
Five year’s gas industry experience, preferably in the service department preferred
People leadership experience required
Physical demands, environment and schedule
Normal office conditions and occasionally outdoors exposed to all weather conditions
Required to be on call after hours and weekends on a rotating basis.
