Nuclear Fuel Services Technical & Implementation Lead Engineer (Radio Chemistry) - 12 month term in Kanata, Ontario

We are looking for a Technical & Implementation Lead Engineer (Radio Chemistry) - 12-month term

JOB SUMMARY

In this role you will perform varied engineering assignments and take leadership of sub-systems of a larger project while providing leadership and guidance to engineers, construction contractors, maintenance and development technicians. You will also oversee process development trials and testing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design of Hot Cell components and Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

  • Utilize Engineering Principals and Fundamentals to review and approve designs.

  • Project Management including oversight of Engineers, Development Technicians and Vendors/Contractors.

  • Schedule and budget proposals and review of project milestones.

  • Creation, review and execution of Test Plans and Test Reports.

  • Creation and review of technical Operating Procedures.

  • Completion of process and product risk analysis.

  • Provide technical leadership for construction, execution, commissioning, and validation activities.

  • Aid in creation of shift plans and resource loading for development activities.

  • Evaluate and resolve product/process non-conformance issues.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either the Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical or Nuclear Engineering disciplines.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario or working toward same.

  • Knowledge and/or experience working with radiation would be an asset.

  • Knowledge and/or experience working with Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient(API) manufacturing would be an asset.

  • Some education in chemistry or experience working with chemicals in manufacturing processes.

  • Experience using SolidWorks.

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledgeable in automated and semi-automated manufacturing processes.

  • Proven project management capabilities.

  • Leadership experience overseeing engineering, maintenance, construction, or operational activities.

  • Experience with commissioning, qualification and validation of equipment and systems.

  • Ability to work well with senior management.
