Position Specific Description

This position is an IT Business Analyst which supports Agile solution development needs for field operations across Power Delivery. This individual analyzes business processes and practices in an effort to focus the design and implementation of information technology solutions that meet the business initiatives. This individual collaborates on an on-going basis with the business and technical project stakeholders and applies proven communications, analytical and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure the project deliverables meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Agile experience with Scrum & Kanban – SAFe experience preferred

  • Experienced in presentation & communication skills, with both technical and business audiences

  • Possesses a “business mindset” to understand operational objectives by studying business functions, evaluating how technology can enable efficiencies, and support epic, feature, story decomposition to drive digital transformations

  • Proven experience with working with both Support and Development teams and operate with a passion to “be the glue” binding stability and change across the application

  • Ability to partner with Operational Business Leads to understand business goals and supports solution alignment activities

  • Ability to design solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing people, process and technology visuals (Design Thinking skills preferred)

  • Ability to improve business outcomes by studying current practices, identifying areas of opportunity, and proposing design modifications to deliver value in the applications user base

  • Ability to work directly with cross-functional groups facilitate user acceptance testing and oversee rollout of the solutions by measuring adoption

  • Act as Software Quality advocate for the team by continuously improving quality automation outcomes across the team (CI/CD skills highly desirable).

  • Provide functional and process expertise to application developers & testers

  • Possess strong data analysis skills

  • Operate with a highly adaptive mindset & be able to thrive in a continuously changing environment

  • Harness relationships across the organization to collaborate on complex problems, improve solutions and adapt to evolving delivery models as part of a continuous improvement culture

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops a strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus

  • Applies analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units

  • Responds to requests, identifies conflicts, and makes recommendations where needed

  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems

  • Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps

  • Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and analyzes and determines failure points in the solution

  • Contributes to the application testing process (directly or to support end users)

  • Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework

  • Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
