Position Specific Description The Sr. Quantitative Analyst for NextEra Energy Marketing Gas Producer Services will build and maintain gas wellhead models to calculate the revenues and expenses associated with NEER and third party operating natural gas wells. Analyst is responsible for keeping the risk management system up to date with respect to all transactions associated with gas gathering, processing, sales, marketing and payment of taxes. Analyst will interface with scheduling, origination, trading and accounting. Analyst will work closely with accounting to ensure the timely payment of invoices and be responsible for daily and monthly P&L reports, and other ad hoc reports as required by management. Analyst will maintain transportation, gathering and processing contracts, and seek to optimize new and existing contracts.
Analyst will interface with customers and participate in the new customer onboarding process requiring new modeling. Some overnight travel maybe required, Must be proficient in Excel.
Job Overview Employees in this role develop models, price energy derivatives, design and perform quantitative studies and analyses of spot/forward prices and volatilities for making pricing, trading, and risk management decisions. This position assists in the development of core algorithms and models to support trading, origination, and asset optimization decisions.
