Position Specific Description NextEra Energy Inc. and Florida Power and Light (FPL) are seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant at the corporate headquarters in Juno Beach. In this role you will report to the Manager of Regulatory Reporting and Process Improvements and will lead in the preparation of FPL’s quarterly and annual reporting to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). You will add value by taking the lead role in researching, analyzing and reporting on regulatory reporting issues affecting FPL, working with business partners to help them understand their regulatory reporting requirements, making recommendations on how to automate and streamline the process, as well as taking the lead role in special projects. You can expect to work with upper level management, all areas of the business, and external auditors. Main duties and responsibilities of the role include: • Maintains a good understanding of the FERC chart of accounts, US GAAP, relevant company policies, practices and procedures • Prepares the FERC Financial Statements and other relevant pages in the FERC Form 1 • Has a good understanding of the statement of cash flows • Reviews other FERC Form 1 pages submitted by the business and ensures consistency throughout the entire document • Identifies areas for potential process improvement and works on teams involved with redesigning and automating existing process to ensure they are as efficient as possible • Prepares a quarterly FERC variance analysis for upper level management • Prepares a quarterly FERC vs. GAAP reconciliation for the balance sheet and income statement • Assists in the creation of new FERC Forms as the company grows its regulatory business • Trains and assists new team members across the business on the regulatory requirements and use of the Workiva system. Preferred knowledge and skills include: • Knowledge of SAP, BW, and Workiva • Proficient in Microsoft Excel *Note – This position will not prepare journal entries

Job Duties & Responsibilities • Prepares financial reports that are in compliance with GAAP, in a timely manner, to accurately reflect the financial status of the company • Maintains a good understanding of, and applies, GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures • Assures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls • Prepares schedules and journal entries • Provides guidance and direction to other team members • Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications • High School Grad / GED • Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance • Experience:5+ years Preferred Qualifications • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) • Master's - Business Administration • Master's - Accounting / Finance
