Position Specific Description

Manage and participate in the NEER monthly financial reporting process with all business units, including the coordination, preparation, automation and innovation of relevant, timely and accurate financial and operational information used to enhance management’s understanding of the company’s assets deployed and costs incurred to deploy these assets. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain profit center groups in SAP various alternate PC hierarchies and PC attributes to support internal management reporting, as well as specific cost element hierarchies to support internal P&L management reporting.

  • Manage and maintain the master project data for NextEra Energy Resources’ Portfolio. Verify data accuracy due to information being placed on external website and used in external presentations.

  • Manage the upload process of stat key data into monthly reporting.

  • Manage and maintain Variance Keys process to support monthly reporting and forecast variance analytics.

  • Track activity during each reporting cycle to facilitate accurate results as well as to identify and implement areas of improvement

  • Assist in investigating monthly reconciliation variances between Summary Financial Results (SFR) and Consolidated Income Statements and communicate reconciliation variances to the business and process topside adjustments for reporting purposes as required.

  • Prepare and support the completion of MD&A Disclosures.

  • Liaise with FCOE and IT as a subject matter expert to automate reporting requests.

  • Participate in the development, enhancements, testing, troubleshooting and training of SAP’s automated business intelligence to enhance efficiencies in management analysis.

  • Troubleshoot/advise on various reporting related issues with all areas of the accounting and business management departments.

  • Support reporting requests from various internal customers.

  • Develop documentation including instructions, policies and procedures relating to reporting processes and controls.

  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested

  • Experience: 8+ years

  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
