Position Specific Description

Overall Requirements:

  • Strong experience in enhancing, supporting and running the SAP BPC monthly forecast, yearly plan/budget including multiple budget versions, nightly job batch, etc.

  • Advance level SAP BPC Financial forecasting, Head count forecasting, Payroll forecasting, revenue forecasting knowledge and good SAP/BW background

  • Advance level understanding of SAP BPC BADI/ABAP experience

  • Advance level experience in BPC Classic / BPC Embedded required

  • Multiple BPC project implementations experience required

  • Performance tuning experience in both a classic and embedded environment

  • 5 – 7 years working and operational experience in FP&A and or CFO organizations

  • 5 – 7 years’ implementation experience as BPC Architect / Solutions Architect with hands-on functional/technical experience

  • Technical skills and experience include configuring, modelling, scripting and developing in SAP Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC), SAP Business Warehouse, BPC/BW on HANA, HANA stored procedures, Business Objects (BOBJ), SAP ECC Finance & Controlling (ECC FI/CO), S4HANA

  • Experience in Integrated Planning preferred.

  • Candidate works well with business users, explains complex technical issues to non-technical Finance users, provides excellent liaison communication

  • Candidate needs to have demonstrated creative solutioning, drive to innovate and automate

  • Used to agile, fast paced, dynamic project development environments

Technical / SAP Skills & Experience:

SAP Business Planning & Consolidations (version 10.1)

  • BPC classic and BPC embedded functionality. Includes EPM templates and data manager packages

  • Model definition and creation, BPC security, script writing, script logic, Fox code and BPC user exits, SAC, stored procedures

  • Integrated Planning with knowledge of creation aggregation, functions and sequence.

Business Warehouse (version 7.4 and 7.5)

  • BW security, Advanced DSO (planning enabled DSO), process chains, HANA Studio artifacts, composite providers, SQL with relationship modeling

Business Objects (BI 4.2): EPM add-ons, BOBJ analysis for Excel, SAC

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for specification and configuration of SAP application enhancements and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes, along with providing end-user support. Individuals will work with project managers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Managers, and information technology and business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues, initiatives and strategies with a potential SAP impact.

• Possesses a strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus

• Establishes and manages effective customer relationships with users of business, financial and operations systems as well as technical team members

• Applies advanced analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units

• Responds to requests, identifies conflicts, and make recommendations where needed

• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems

• Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps

• Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and can analyze and determine failure points in the solution

• Contributes to the application testing process directly and in support of end users

• Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate for selected project framework

• Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
