Position Specific Description

This position reports to the IT Technology Director and is responsible for supporting the IT project leader(s) in financial operations and vendor management. In this role, you will serve as an integral team member providing financial expertise and presenting optimization opportunities to leadership. You will collaborate closely with the VMO, Budget Analysts of IT and other BUs. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial systems background, excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize ad-hoc requests and help drive process-improvement initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing monthly financial projections (including allocation of resources to multiple projects), monitoring of intra-month expenses, accruals

  • Forecasting, chargebacks and reporting for NEER IT projects and cloud costs

  • Financial analysis and support for Velocity and business cases

  • Support NEER IT purchases (Software, subscriptions, etc.)

  • Ensure NEER IT compliance with ISC, VMO and CIO procurement rules

Knowledge of Apptio, SAP, and/or Fieldglass highly desirable.

  • Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps

  • Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and analyzes and determines failure points in the solution

  • Contributes to the application testing process (directly or to support end users)

  • Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework

  • Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
