Position Specific Description

Position is in support of FPL Central Operations and the stand-up of a Fossil Control Center (FCC) for the FPL Fossil fleet. This position will be an integral part of streamlining plant operations with the increased use of automation, while ensuring safe reliable operations of the fleet. Upon commissioning of the Fossil Control Center, beginning in 2022, this position will follow a shift schedule, and will serve in a leadership capacity with operations staff. The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, control systems and event troubleshooting and support, operational event analysis and process management. Previous experience with Siemens T3000, Emerson Ovation platforms, GE Mark VI, etc. preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and guides extensive technical programs and activities of outstanding novelty and/or importance

• Negotiates critical and controversial issues with high level management and officers of their organizations and companies

• Travels to power plants for onsite troubleshooting support

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
