Position Specific Description

Manages Fleet Center of Work Excellence (FCWE). Responsible for improving the tools and processes used to efficiently plan, prioritize, and schedule daily and overhaul work activities for FPL's Combined-Cycle power generation Fleet. Maintain cognizance of fleet asset reliability related to preventative maintenance strategies. Develop and maintain 5 year overhaul budgets for deployment. Routinely collaborate with plant customers, fleet engineering and the centralized control room, keeping a focus on operational risk, standardization and resource optimization.

Individual in this role will require a solid understanding of the following:

• Maximo (planning I asset data I contracts)

• Preventative Maintenance & Reliability Checks

• Corrective Maintenance

• SAP Budget planning module

Job Overview

Leaders in this role oversee a team at a generation facility. Individuals are accountable for all aspects of the management and performance of both the physical and human assets in their assigned facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in all aspects of operation and maintenance

  • Manages the technical performance of the plant

  • Develops and manages site budget

  • Leads the safety of the facility and personnel

  • Complies with all regulations and policies

  • Oversees personnel development and succession planning

  • Drives the continuous improvement of performance

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 7+ years

  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 7+ years
