Position Specific Description

This key full-time position is responsible for managing and delivering medium to large scale web and digital projects in a collaborative environment, integrating user experience, technology, and business strategy to expand a large digital program.

The Digital User Experience Project Manager will work closely with the Digital Advocacy team and agency partners to create websites and web campaigns that build community support, counter misinformation, and influence decision makers for clean energy projects. In this role, you will be responsible for content optimization, functional design/layout, content maintenance, enhancements and optimization of existing and future websites and applications. The ideal candidate has a direct response background and has a strong understanding of content management systems, design of site functionality, intuitive navigation schemes, search engine optimization best practices and ADA compliance. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with passionate leadership and the ability to make a huge impact enterprise-wide.

This person will interact with a broad range of cross-functional disciplines throughout the entire project lifecycle within an Agile development methodology to successfully plan and deliver our websites content experiences.

This position requires day-to-day leadership, management and coordination of all activities pertaining to project direction, planning, requirements, assignments, analytics, problem resolution and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

You will be expected to work both, autonomously and with limited supervision, and collaboratively with other team members, demonstrating a commitment toward shared goals and a willingness to take initiative.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilize strong project management skills to drive the planning and execution of multiple website projects, according to best design practices, to support the business objectives

  • Provide support in developing and executing plans and initiatives, including web design and updates, web domain, web navigation and architecture, SEO best practices, ADA compliance, and analytics tagging

  • Drive all phases of the project within an Agile development methodology to successfully deliver web and digital content experiences

  • Collaborate with a broad range of business and technical cross-functional teams throughout the entire project lifecycle

  • Demonstrate discipline and organization in executing assignments and managing projects, while building and maintaining great relationships with partners and co-workers.

  • Partner with brand and channel teams to oversee company-wide e-marketing plans and execution in conjunction with brand and channel objectives

  • Enforce NextEra Energy Resources web and brand standards, as well as work in other marketing communications functions as assigned.

  • Partner with the Digital Advocacy team and work with business stakeholders to understand project goals, create requirements, and obtain digital assets and approvals

  • Partner with Marketing, Social Media, Email and Analytics teams to support the execution of the digital strategy

  • Communicate objectives effectively, both orally and in writing, and provide metrics to track performance and progress.

  • Create authoring and functional requirements during the website design process, including UX design, component design, and analytics tagging requirements

  • Collaborate with front-end-developers and designers to write functional requirements, including acceptance criteria, for user stories

  • Partner with IT teams and manage IT offshore resources to coordinate websites development and maintenance

  • Participate in QA/UAT and defect triage to ensure quality control of deliverables

  • Audit and maintain inventory of all of NextEra Energy Resources websites, content assets and refresh schedules

  • Develop and maintain schedules to ensure timely completion of projects

  • Monitor KPI metrics and report out on project successes and areas for improvement

  • Attend daily stand ups and/or weekly meetings

  • Provides CMS feasibility checks during project sprints

  • Evaluate existing CMS component library and recommend improvements to the authoring experience

  • Develop and maintain processes for ongoing website maintenance, optimization, and improvements

  • Lead content strategy and execution of key hi-touch pages, including campaign landing pages and microsites

  • Oversee campaign analytics tagging and implementation process

  • Responsible for monitoring ADA compliance and leading any development work and coding changes needed.

  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing campaigns using tools such as Adobe Test & Target

  • Provide regular status updates and presentations

A successful candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience required, with specific background in website content management development

  • Experience successfully managing and delivering large scale web/mobile projects using Agile methodology

  • Experience successfully gathering and writing requirements and user stories

  • Experience working with content management system (CMS), like Adobe AEM and WordPress, and building websites, including daily updating of copy and images for sites, building out new pages, and troubleshooting issues

  • Functional, hands-on knowledge of front-end website development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. and image editing tools such as Adobe Creative cloud

  • Strong knowledge of content pages, layout, and applications design

  • Strong understanding of web, web trends and interactive analytics

  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • The ability to multitask and maintain higher performance under extreme pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • The ability to perform writing and editing assessments, as well as achieve business goals through interactive channels

  • Excellent writing, verbal, editing, and overall communication skills, plus a comfort level in presenting to both team members and clients

  • The ability to follow critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives

  • The ability to sound business and financial acumen, balanced by a talent for creative thinking and problem solving

  • Proven leadership experience and effectively manage difficult situations

  • A can-do attitude, dedication to customer service and adaptability to meet the demands of internal partners

  • The ability to build interpersonal relationships with team members and cross-functional colleagues. Be a team player with a passion for growth and learning

  • Agile Product Owner certification a plus

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Teams, JIRA, Monday.com, Adobe AEM and Adobe Analytics are a plus

  • Political, advocacy, and/or public affairs background are a plus
