Position Specific Description

Our company seeks a highly experienced Creative Director to lead and manage our in-house creative agency, Fuze, at an exciting and transformative time as we lead the decarbonization of the U.S. economy. The ideal candidate should have previous advertising agency experience and a strong background in producing work for major brands in B2B and B2C spaces. In this role, you will drive creative strategy and execution across all our marketing channels, working closely with our brand, marketing, sales, and communications teams. As part of NextEra Energy's enterprise brand and marketing leadership team, you will work in various exciting fields, including clean energy solutions, clean tech, mobility, Software-as-a-service, venture capital, clean hydrogen, battery storage, EV charging infrastructure, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the creative vision and strategy for the company's marketing campaigns, ensuring all creative materials are on-brand, on-message, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Lead the creative team in developing all creative materials, including print and digital ads, video, social media content, website design, and other marketing and sales collateral.

  • Ensure that all creative work is delivered on-time, on-budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Manage the creative team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and direction needed to produce outstanding work.

  • Collaborate closely with other teams, including brand, marketing, communications, and product, to ensure that all creative work is integrated into broader campaigns and initiatives.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and bring new ideas and approaches to the creative team and the wider organization.

  • Build relationships with external partners, including agencies, vendors, and freelancers, as needed.

SpecificQualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in creative leadership roles in advertising agencies, with a track record of delivering outstanding work for major brands in B2B and B2C spaces.

  • Proven experience managing and developing creative teams, with a strong ability to mentor and motivate team members.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring all work is delivered on-time and on-budget.

  • Highly creative and strategic, with a strong ability to develop innovative ideas and translate them into effective campaigns and materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence.

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, design, or a related field.

Job Overview

Employees in this role lead integrated marketing & communications strategies in support of one or more business units or functional areas, assuming full responsibility for leading the development, implementation and measurement of ROI-based communication plans in support of the business units’ objectives. This position is responsible for the outreach to customers and other external audiences to enhance the company's reputation as a reliable provider of electricity and raise awareness among customers and other key stakeholders of the company’s initiatives to improve its service and reliability. Individuals direct outreach to customer audiences through direct mail and other channels, participation in community events, and proactive media outreach (working collaboratively with the media relations team).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Drives the effective use of market research and other analytics to develop recommendations

• Develops, improves, standardizes, and manages work processes to ensure consistent performance that meets client expectations, including cross- functional collaboration inside and outside of Marketing and Communication (M and C)

• Provides communications counsel to senior leaders and managers

• Manages the effective use of communication channels

• Leads a team of communications managers and professionals, coaching and directing their performance in accordance with the M and C teams high standards for excellence in client service

• Ensures disciplined budget management

• Performs a key role as a member of the M and C leadership team in helping to strengthen the capabilities of the M and C business unit

• Develops as well as follows critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
