Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Inc. and Florida Power and Light are seeking a Business Analyst III for our corporate headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida. In this role you will report to the Manager of Cash Management and will be responsible for supporting all matters related to Banking, Cash and Treasury functions. Employees in this role will conduct operational analysis that supports the financial needs of the company. Key Responsibilities include small to medium special projects, quantitative and qualitative research, process design and modification, and report development.

Individuals in this role will also apply standardized tools and techniques to implement process enhancements; Develop relationships with various banks, financial institutions, business units and departments throughout the enterprise; Conduct analyses of day-to-day treasury and banking functions for all companies—reviewing bank activity reports and resolve any discrepancies that may occur; Advise various business units on the movement of funds; and Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate with other departments to accomplish goals.

Successful candidates will need to thrive in a team environment and have a general understanding of the day-to-day functions within the department such as opening/closing bank accounts; bank reconciliations; escheatment reconciliations, and cash deposits are some of the key tasks. Projects such as acquisitions, divestitures, new business lines, etc. will be part of this position as well. Candidates will need to have strong communication skills as you will interface with several departments including legal, accounting, treasury and multiple banks—representing the cash management department will be critical.

You will add value by being responsible for special projects, including researching, analyzing and reporting on issues that affect the company, making recommendations for solutions, and following through to resolution.

  • Maintains, Open/Close Corporate Bank Account Request (CBAR)

  • Supporting Implementation of Special Projects

  • Performs SOX Controls

  • Prompt and accurate customer support (internal/external)

  • Assists with bank feed issues and/or enhancements

  • Assist with KYC for various banks

  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
