Position Specific Description

At NextEra Energy, collaboration is key to our success. Having the ability to host interactive and complex meetings in-person and virtually is critical to how we conduct business throughout the country. We have a technically sophisticated suite of virtual meeting and webcast tools that are leveraged to bring employees, customers and key stakeholders together. Employees in this role are responsible for operating those tools to support internal and external communications for NextEra Energy.

Employees in this role are responsible for providing digital collaboration, webcast and meeting support, including meeting/event coordination, technical consultation and visual content in support of executive, enterprise-wide and critical/emergent meetings and events. Employees in this role must possess a high level of expertise in a variety of digital collaboration tools, video conferencing, audio / video workflow, webcasting, streaming/encoding software and devices. This person should have basic video shooting and editing skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a high degree of professionalism to interact directly with the company’s senior leadership team.

Key areas of responsibility:

· Meet with requesters about their meeting needs; provide logistics and technology recommendations for support based on their collaboration and visual content needs

· Operate webcast and meeting support equipment and software in the company’s conference rooms and auditoriums, and control rooms within its main auditorium and emergency operations / command centers

· Support operations of the main auditorium, including ensuring audio, video, streaming equipment and applications and computers are updated and operational

· Support executive-level meetings; provide digital collaboration, technical and event coordination/consultation to executives

· Process requests in the company’s digital meeting request platform

· Provide storm and emergency event support; support operations and maintenance of the marketing & communications business unit’s spaces, including the media room and control room at our command center

· Lead and facilitate equipment and computer inventory and repairs; make purchases and perform troubleshooting

· Collaborate with and schedule audiovisual vendors to help support meeting requests

· Prepare PPT and Keynote content for live meetings / presentations

· Provide basic video shooting, editing, graphics support

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of video streaming, encoding devices and streaming file optimization using equipment and applications, including NewTek Tricaster, Livestream, LiveU, Webex, Microsoft teams, Zoom.

· Experience producing and directing in-person and virtual events, from pre-production to post-production, including coordinating audio and video content elements, PPT, Keynote and other visual elements.

· High level of expertise in a variety of digital collaboration tools, video conferencing, audio / video workflow and best practices for video and content (i.e. PPT, Keynote) delivery for live and virtual events.

· Strong technical know-how with the ability to operate and troubleshoot audiovisual issues.

· Working knowledge of video switchers and production equipment (cameras, lights, microphones)

· Ability to determine best use of equipment, technology and platform for optimal delivery and outcomes.

· Ability to troubleshoot and appropriately adjust content or technology during a live event when faced with technological issues; maintain professionalism.

· Manage requests and workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, flexibility and adaptability.

· Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for basic editing and format conversions of recorded events.

Job Overview

Employees in this role will be responsible for creating visually engaging visual communication to support a variety of business needs. This job will create graphic designs and animations that help explain complex issues for internal/external audiences. Individuals capture video and support audio/visual (AV) needs for corporate-wide events and projects. This position operates satellite uplink equipment to deliver key corporate messages to various media and acts as the subject-matter expert of emerging technologies for the department.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designs visual content to create final products in support of campaigns and projects

  • Serves as videographer, capturing visual content for use in a variety of internal and external channels

  • Creates 3D animations in support of campaigns and projects

  • Acts as a digital graphic designer, visual storyteller, video producer, and audio/visual technician

  • Travels within the state of Florida and through the United States

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
