Position Specific Description
This position is responsible for the due diligence, vetting, and acceptance of various battery suppliers for the Energy Storage team. This will include equipment sizing, integration design, battery performance expectations, review of drawings, manuals and OEM contract documents. This is considered a critical support role to the Energy Storage Engineering team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Reviews OEM engineering deliverables for technical acceptance. These include drawings, manuals, performance specifications, and thermal management systems.
Hold cross-functional meetings with various stakeholders and OEMs to communicate complex technical concepts throughout the organization.
Support project engineers in design consideration based on OEM specifications.
Review OEM contracts for technical feasibility and thoroughness.
Support construction and commissioning functions by educating new emerging technology concepts.
Conduct site visits to validate equipment installation and integration in accordance with design specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with battery suppliers to stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in energy storage technologies.
Analyze and interpret battery performance data to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and select battery suppliers based on technical criteria and cost-effectiveness.
Support the development of standards and best practices for battery system integration and maintenance.
Provide technical expertise during the troubleshooting and resolution of battery system issues.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution and long-term battery performance.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of battery systems.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to energy storage systems.
