Position Specific Description

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt

  • 5+ years Event Planning experience

  • Strong organizational skills to support high-profile corporate events

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a confident and professional manner

  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook skills

  • Organized and self-sufficient with the ability to multitask multiple ongoing projects

The Administrative Technician will be asked to: (This list is not exhaustive and may change as business needs shift):

  • Plan, organize and administer all components of Quality Certification events including the Quarterly NEE Excellence Awards Ceremonies and Quarterly Executive Showcases for Black Belts and Master Black Belts

  • Schedule events including facilities and catering

  • Verify attendees and send invitations

  • Schedule and assist photographers through M&C

  • Print, frame and organize certificates for presentation

  • Order and proof plaques from Proforma

  • Organize Name Tags, Badge Holders, Badge Pulls

  • Set-up & tear down day of event

  • Keep time during presentations

  • Along with Quality Training Team, coordinate, manage, plan, and organize all components of the annual James L. Broadhead Competition and annual NEE Quality, Safety & Innovation Expo

  • Maintain all contacts & contact lists for both Quality Events

  • Communicate registration event dates, deadlines, and guidelines

  • Coordinate Expo booth layout and registration process

  • Create Expo Booth book/app

  • Coordinate facility set up and tear down, security, video, audio, electrical etc

  • Schedule all JLB/Expo Team meetings and co-chair meetings

  • Compile and manage all JLB/Expo Team volunteers

  • Order all award plaques, trophies & medals

  • Arrange all catering and order & distribute meal cards

  • Schedule all conference rooms related to events

  • Manage and communicate to outside vendors

  • Compile, order & distribute printed JLB Executive Binder and .pdf iPad materials

  • Design and send formal JLB Invitation

  • Distribute all Recognition of Excellence team gifts

  • Organize, maintain annual shirt list, mailing, etc.

  • Monitor Quality SharePoint & update all documents within

  • Schedule all Quality Training and Recognition programs each year

  • Coordinate corporate-wide Yellow Belt Certification program, including certificate support, badge ordering, distribution and certification tracking

  • Manage supplies, books and room set for all Quality classes and workshops

  • Monitor and process invoices

  • Provide ongoing Administrative support for NextEra University, as needed

Under supervision:

  • Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems

  • Audits and processes invoices in accordance with accounts payable procedures

  • Interacts with all levels of employees as needed to perform responsibilities

  • Works on special projects as requested

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 5+ years
