Purpose

The Supervisor, Meter Data is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all of the AMI processes and functions. This position will add value by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all data collected from AMI meters; and, in addition, this position will prepare monthly and ad hoc reports to management to assist with decision making, goal setting, and reporting. This role is also responsible to ensure department objectives are met or exceeded. This position requires adherence to security policy, when managing customer accounts that contains private personal information.

Accountabilities

  • Plans, assigns and supervises the work of the Meter Data Analyst staff. Evaluates the operations and activities of direct reports in the Billing Department. Monitors the training of Meter Data Analyst and identifies gaps and learning opportunities. Also assists in selection and promotion of direct reports.

  • Responsible for coordinating with Billing staff to execute the daily billing, financial reporting and other system routines.

  • Responsible for developing employee's skills, evaluating performance, and providing coaching to ensure data is accurate and timely.

  • Responsible for coordinating daily AMI system processes that include OWOC-Collection Manager, OWOC-Performance Manager, Field Data Management and IEE/MDM. Responsible for ensuring MV-90 processes are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

  • Organizes and prioritizes a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner; organizes own work, sets priorities, and meets critical time deadlines.

  • Escalate and manage system issues through the Service Hub ticket process.

  • Maintains a variety of records and prepares routine reports of work performance.

  • Prepares other operational analytical and statistical reports as requested.

  • Identifies problems, researches and analyzes relevant information, and develops and presents recommendations and justification for solutions.

  • Oversees operations and activities of the AMI system; recommends improvements and modifications and prepares various reports on operations and activities.

  • Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives.

  • Supports company policies and works within the guidelines of State Regulatory agencies.

  • Performs duties in compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and procedures. Adheres to Liberty Utilities Security Policies . Promotes and implements procedural best practice in order to ensure all working practices are compliant with company's policies and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Expertise - advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents

  • University - Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of experiences

  • (3) to (5) five years of experience with reviewing, summarizing, analyzing and reporting on meter usage data is strongly preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of general supervisory experience (need not be industry specific) preferred

  • Experience with utility billing systems required
