Gas Plumber

We are looking for a Gas Plumber inJoplin, MO. Plumbers are responsible for safely installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes of utility construction projects. As a plumber, you will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure company procedures are followed.

Essential Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures

  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies

  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems

  • Follow building plans and blueprints

  • Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates

  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used

  • Collaborate with other construction professionals

  • Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required

  • Other related duties and projects as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years field experience or Military equivalent

  • Experience working in construction is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade

  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper

  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices

  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings

  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment

  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Independent worker with a strong work ethic.

  • The physical activity for this role includes:

  • Travel as needed, might work extended hours

  • Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods

  • Walking on uneven ground

  • Manual dexterity for use of small hand and power tools

  • Repetitive motions like squatting, kneeling, reaching and lifting

  • Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 80lbs.

  • Working outside in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
